A Real-Time and Multi-Sensor-Based Landing Area Recognition System for UAVs

This paper presents a real-time and multi-sensor-based landing area recognition system for UAVs, which aims to enable UAVs land safely on open flat terrain is suitable comprehensive unmanned autonomous operation. The built the combination of camera 3D LiDAR. problem how fuse image point cloud information realize guide UAV autonomously safely. To solve this problem, firstly, we use deep learning method tracking from images. After that, project LiDAR data into coordinates obtain semantic label each point. Finally, with build environment map calculate most landing. Experiments show that proposed can achieve accurate robust UAVs.
